he Honduran Court of Appeals has rejected the appeal challenging the impartiality of the judges presiding over the murder trial of activist Berta Cáceres. The appeal was presented on September 17 by the private prosecuting attorneys representing witness Salvador Zuniga.

The decision means that the Court of Appeals did not find impartiality in the judges that could influence their judgement in the trial. The trial will, therefore, continue with the same judges pending the resolution of addition appeals.
